Alex Rae Phelps
Alex (they/he) is a trans hand poke tattooer who specializes in black ink dot work in realist, illustrative, and abstract styles. Their background in sculpture and embroidery informs their delicate hand and three-dimensional interpretation of tattooing. He is self-taught and started tattooing in 2018. Growing up in coastal Southern California, Alex moved to Oakland in 2011 and has been living and loving the Bay Area ever since. If Alex is not creating art, they are probably dancing, mending vintage clothes, taking a bath, holding their cat, or excitedly yell-talking at their partner and friends :)
